With new tariffs being imposed, our diet of cheap gadgets that we find on Amazon may be coming to an end. Some say we overbuy and don’t need most of the stuff we find there, especially the products from no-name companies in China. But as I looked over my purchases, I found a number of products that I discovered on Amazon that were really useful, many that I never knew even existed.
Here are a few examples:
Rolling TV Stand – This solved the problem of finding a way to install a 42-inch TV in a small bedroom with no wall space to hang it in a convenient location. This very sturdy $35 aluminum stand rolls into position at the foot of the bed when you want to watch and then rolls off to the side against a wall when not in use.

Wallet AirTag – I wanted to use an AirTag to keep track of my wallet, but AirTags are too thick to fit. This inexpensive tracker card is the size of a credit card is designed for a wallet and works with the Apple FindMe app just like an AirTag.

Watercolor Water Supply and Organizer – When using watercolors to paint, I’m constantly cleaning my brushes to prevent one color from contaminating another and contaminating the water. This clever device provides a surface for cleaning your brush and a fresh water accessible with a push of a button. When you push the button, the dirty water drains into a reservoir, replaced by water from a tank.

Picture Hanger Kit – This clever device has a number of elements that let you accurately locate where to mount the picture hook so that your frame is properly positioned.

It will be interesting to see what happens to these products and their costs once tariffs are imposed. I’ll be tracking their price changes over the coming months and report back.
